For the Cornish Pirates it's a visit to Nottingham this Sunday to face Martin Haag's 'Green & Whites'.

The Pirates have not won at Meadow Lane since recording a 36-10 points victory there in November, 2010, and they travel knowing that it will be inevitably tough once more. However, they should also be in a quietly buoyant mood following their super 21-15 points victory against Bristol, and will no doubt be keen to follow this up with another good win.

For this weekend's match, which is between the ninth and sixth-placed sides in the league, the Cornish Pirates  welcome back skipper Gavin Cattle from injury. He is one of three changes in the backs from the team that started against Bristol, as Rheon James comes into the side at inside centre, and Matt Evans returns on the wing.

There are three changes in the pack. Kieran Davies is named at loose-head prop for what will be his first Championship 'start', James Sandford will partner Neale Patrick in the second-row, and selected at No. 8 is James Phillips, who joined up with the Pirates on loan from Exeter Chiefs this week.

Speaking ahead of Sunday's game, Cornish Pirates Head Coach Ian Davies said:

“Disappointed to have narrowly lost at Rotherham last week, Nottingham will likely feel confident of winning at home, whilst for us it's a matter of focusing on achieving a victory on the road by defending stoutly, which is a must, and to also, importantly, display confidence in attack.”
