LOCK Ben Trevaskis has signed back with Penryn after leaving the Cornish Pirates last month.

A statement from Borough's management posted on their Facebook page on Thursday evening stated the 22-year-old had agreed to return to the club.

The message posted by head coach Russell Lawrance said: "I'm delighted to announce that Ben Trevaskis signed tonight, I am sure you all join me in welcoming Ben on board and we will all look forward to him fighting for the shirt. Competition improves the breed."

The second row departed Mennaye Field on September 19 just months after joining the Greene King IPA Championship side through their Player Development Foundation after being struck down with food poisoning.

Since then, Trevaskis returned to his previous club and has featured in two friendlies for the reserve team, known as Penryn Saracens.

On Saturday, he scored the only try in their match at home to Roseland which ended 5-3.
