A MUCH changed Camborne starting line up faded in the final half hour to slip to another away day defeat, this time at mid table Thornbury.

The Cherry and Whites with head coach Liam Chapple pressed into service at fly-half and David Roberts filling in at centre battled back with great spirit after going 15 points down early on.

Camborne dominated the second quarter and after Alex Ducker had landed a penalty, Town conjured a fine try for wing Rob Floyd to trail only 15-8 at the break.

Early in the second half, full-back Ducker found the posts with a second penalty shot to cut the arrears to only four points.

Play went from end to end before man of the match Ed Sheldon completed his hat-trick try for the home side and the full back grabbed a superb fourth touchdown late on to put his side out of sight.

On Saturday, Camborne welcome Truro to the Recreation Ground in the semi finals of the Tribute Cornwall Cup.
