A TRY in the final moments of the game saw Penryn’s Under 13s lose narrowly to their Penzance counterparts.
The hosts took an early lead when Borough’s defence could not stop their big second row forward from dotting down in the slippery and muddy conditions.
A reply was soon made though by Penryn as a brilliant try was raced home by Sam Price to level the scores.
Penzance once again used their bigger forwards to barge their way ahead, but Borough’s backs proved to be tricky customers for their opponents and it took some great tackling by the hosts to prevent several tries being scored.
Sam Hammersley finished the half off with a drop goal to make it 14-10 and shortly after the break Archie Bawden put Penryn into the lead for the first try with a try, carrying several defenders over with him.
Dan Price then went over himself to create a ten point advantage for the visitors, but Penzance rallied back with another try of their own.
Then with play getting scrappy in the final few seconds, the hosts managed to push their way over again in the corner and grab victory.
