STRONG defence kept Penryn Under 10s alive in their match at Newquay on Sunday and built the foundations to a 45-40 victory.
Their hosts were fast paced and ruckaging hard at the breakdown, but Borough matched them defensively and were able to stay within touch on the scoreboard.
Feeding off what they could, Penryn managed to run in nine tries mainly from long range efforts with George Edson top scoring with six while Billy Jordan got two and Will Symes one.
Man-of-the-match went to Owen Richards for his hard work in defence and their next game on Sunday, against St Austell, will be their final one of the regular season.
