JONNY Platt is expecting a stern fightback from Cornwall after losing the opening County of Origin Series game on Sunday.
A below par performance saw the Duchy fall to a 26-24 defeat at the hands of Devon, although they came close to drawing the encounter as Alex Ducker saw a conversion attempt bounce back off the post.
The sides will meet again on July 4 at Launceston's Polson Bridge ground before the final match of the series on August 23 in Teignmouth.
Platt said: "Unfortunately it wasn't our day.
"The team we had a couple of players who haven't played before and when we get couple of training sessions under our belts, we'll comeback and the next two tests will be interesting and we'll win the trophy."
