CORNISH rugby bosses have confirmed Graham Dawe will stay on as the county's senior men's coach for the 2014/15 season.

The ex-England international was announced by the Cornwall Rugby Football Union as the man who will lead the squad for the 2015 Bill Beaumont Cup campaign after they fell at the final hurdle earlier this year in the final at Twickenham under Dawes' stewardship.

Joining up with Dawes in the dug-out will be coach Ian Morgan, fitness coach James Earp, team manager Ewart White and assistant team manager Trevor Spargo.

According to Packet sources, directors at the Duchy's board had been considering their coaching options for the season after two successive final defeats to Lancashire, the first coming under Cornish rugby stalwart Dave 'Benji' Thomas' last campaign in charge.

Looking ahead to next year, Dawe said he is excited to be back in the dug-out and is aiming to make improvements from last season.

Dawe said: “I am pleased to have been asked to continue in my role as coach of Cornwall and work alongside Ian and Earpy again.

“We all saw the passion that rugby generates in the county, that's with the players, back room staff and of course the supporters in fact everybody who is involved.

“We have held a debrief meeting and want to build on the good points but also improve on the areas where we were not quite as strong.

“The coaching staff and selectors have been out before the official season kicks off looking at existing and new players that come to our attention.”

Cornwall RFU's chairman Denis Preece said he was pleased to have Dawe confirmed as coach once again.

“It's good news that we retained these people to build on the work they started last season,” he said.

“I know we were all disappointed to lose a second Twickenham final, but that is now history and we start the build up to 2014/15 season.”

On May 9 next year, Cornwall will begin the 2015 Bill Beaumont Cup away at Gloucestershire before travelling to Kent a week later.

They then host Hertfordshire seven days before the final which takes place at Twickenham on May 30.

Coaching structures for the Duchy's Under 20s, women's and their club's XV teams have also been revealed.

No changes have been made to the Under 20s set-up with Morgan taking up a dual-role with this side and the senior squad, while Mike Rawlings, Brynn Jenkins and Tom Rawlings will also be on the staff.

Chris Lea remains as team manager and Colin Hatch as assistant team manager.

In the ladies, Paul Woodhead has been confirmed as the coach with a team of assistants in Niall Devenish, who is head coach at Helston, Andy Demaine, David Roberts and Martin Rodea.

For the club's XV, Stuart Hood and Robin Johns will coach the side.
