WEATHER and cup fixtures have caused fixture issues for Falmouth Under 13s recently.

But on Sunday they were able to get a game against Hayle, who had stepped in at the last minute, at St Just.

The hosts provided a couple of players to the 13 available for Falmouth, who are going through a rebuilding process with the new recruits getting better all the time.

Hayle started on the front foot and after ten minutes had a comfortable lead with the Eagles struggling to hold onto the ball and defending too narrowly, allowing the home team to exploit space out wide.

Proceedings did slow down after the explosive beginning, but Hayle did keep the scoreboard ticking over although Falmouth made them work a lot harder.

This saw them end the half strongly by denying the hosts a try despite spending considerable time camped by the goal-line.

Things were shuffled around after the break and Falmouth looked better as they maintained possession well.

Rewards went their way as Guy Brooks scored a couple of good tries while man-of-the-match went to Isaac Adewole, who played brilliantly at full-back.

Jamie Millar was given the coaches award for his hard work in the back row of the scrum and despite the fact Hayle won comfortably, everyone involved was delighted to play again with plenty of smiles all round.
