CHRIS Morgan's arrival as forwards coach is creating a lot of interest for potential new players at Falmouth - according to the club's chairman.

The Cornish Pirates' captain has joined the Cornwall/Devon League outfit's coaching staff for the 2015/16 campaign, with pre-season training already up and running.

Neville Curnow, chairman of the Eagles, said having Morgan at the club is great, adding he is already having a positive affect.

Curnow said: "There is a lot of interest from players not already with the team considering joining because Chris is a coach here.

"He has already enthused the players already here with his methods and his different approach is good for us."

The club have also confirmed Justyn Irons is to carry on as the team's captain for next season with Tom David staying as vice-skipper.

Training takes place at the club's Recreation Ground home every Tuesday and Thursday, starting at 7pm, with new players welcome to come.
