A PAIR of Penryn players have been selected for the England Deaf squad for their clash with Wales on Sunday.

Ben Jordan, 24, will start the game at inside centre, with Ben Trevaskis, 22, debuting on the bench for the match at Moseley.

Both players are regular starters at Penryn RFC and are partially deaf in one ear.

Jordan will be earning his second cap for England after debuting against Wales in January and will be looking to help the squad regain the Broadstreet Cup after a string of three defeats at the hands of the Welsh.

Ben Jordan in full flow for Penryn earlier this season

He returned to Borough's squad for the 2014/15 season after spending several years living in Australia.

Trevaskis has been playing at Penryn since the age of six, progressing through the years to the Saracens and then debuting for the First XV in 2011.

The duo have joined the deaf team in the wake of a recent push by the England Deaf Rugby Union to raise awareness, with a marked increase in deaf and partially deaf players realising they can play for their country.
