Truro City kept themselves seven points clear of the Conference South relegation zone as they picked up a point at struggling Staines.
Andre Scarlett had a good chance to put the home side ahead, but shot wide after being played through on goal.
However, it was City who took the lead just before the break as Barry Hayles flicked a ball on for Stewart Yetton to hammer in a shot from eight yards out.
Staines drew level on 65 minutes when David Wheeler headed home.
However, Staines could not find a winner and Truro picked up a point, which could prove vital come the end of the season.
