Truro City went down to a 3-1 defeat at Tiverton Town in a pre-season friendly that saw the club use a number of reserve team players due to an on-going wage dispute at Treyew Road.

Player-manager Lee Hodges and trialist striker Kiefer Moore were the only recognisable first team player in the starting line-up. The rest of the first team were not there, having issued the club with a demand for unpaid wages.

Having grown frustrated with the financial turmoil at the club the players have said they will quit Truro City by 10am on Thursday, if their wages are not forthcoming.

In their abscene the reserve team players did reasonably well against their Southern League division one south and west opponents.

They held Tiverton to a goalless first half. Joe Bushin gave the Devon side the lead in the second half before Kiefer Moore levelled the scores for Truro.

However, Bushin added a second goal and Jules Emati-Emati sent a powerful header past the City keeper to make it 3-1.
