A winding up petition against Truro City FC has been put on hold for two weeks as the club prepares to go into administration.
Truro City faced a winding up petition from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs over unpaid tax debts. HMRC also said that their petition was supported by two other creditors who claim to be owed £40,000 and £645,000 by the striken Blue Square Bet South Club.
However, Truro City told the High Court that it had made an adminstration application, which is due to go before a judge tomorrow.
As a result, the Registrar adjourned the winding up petition for 14 days until September 17. If an administration order is made, then the winding up petition will then be dismissed.
Truro City chairman Chris Webb later told fans that their were people interested in buying the club.
He added that they would be able to fulfil the away fixture at Basingstoke tomorrow by using the money from gate receipts received from Saturday's match against Boreham Wood to pay for the coach to Hampshire.
