Let’s raise £32,000 and more at the October Snowdon Trek!
9:30am Tuesday 9th September 2008 in Walks
ARE you up for a challenge? In June 2008 a fantastic £32,000 was raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care at their Snowdon Mountain Challenge. This equates to an incredible 1600 nursing hours for terminally ill patients in their own homes.
Can you help beat this at their next Snowdon Challenge taking place on Saturday, October 4 or Sunday October 5? You could help make such a difference to the lives of patients and their families in your local area by taking part in this personal challenge. It’s also a wonderful way of celebrating Marie Curie Cancer Cares very special 60th Diamond Anniversary this year.
Participants are asked to pay a registration fee of £10 and will need to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship. Community Fundraiser Lynda Thomas said: “We really would love to have as many participants from the local area as possible for this event. Not only is this a great personal challenge for anyone, but, just imagine the satisfaction of knowing that your effort will help to give terminally ill cancer patients the choice to die at home, supported by their families. We encourage individuals and groups to take on the challenge, and will give support and advice to all participants.”
Places are filling up fast so if you think this could be the challenge you’re looking for, please call Nikki Collins or Lynda Thomas for your registration pack on 01872 260 500 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
