Newsquest Media Group - owner of the Packet - has donated £10,000 to the British Red Cross National Floods Appeal.
The UK's second-largest regional multi-media publisher has a number of titles in the areas most affected by the recent flooding, particularly in Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Herefordshire.
When the Red Cross appeal was launched in excess of £300,000 was raised within days.
Money raised by the appeal will be used to support individuals in hardship, support community recovery activities, local appeals and community groups.
The Red Cross is working in partnership with local, regional and national government and other agencies to maximise the impact of the appeal. A number of Newsquest titles are backing the National Floods Appeal.
