Good luck to all the local pilot gig clubs in the forthcoming World Pilot Gig Championships on the Isles of Scilly.
Falmouth Ladies A team will be defending their World title again. Coxed by Lee Altenburg, the ladies team who have trained hard over the winter are Alice Maxted, Amelia Muller, Karen Bestwetherick, Caseley Heard, Lena Oldrieve and Esther Oldrieve.
The Falmouth Mens A team are strong contenders in their event having spent hours and hours training in the harbour and Carrick Roads in all winds and weather. Malcolm Hatten will be hoping for victory as he coxes his crew Simon Moses, Brian Hall, Adam Anderson, Fergus Muller, Jan Wilkins and Aaaon Wilkins.
