Students from Camborne Science and International Academy are getting ready to compete in three prestigious national finals in equestrian.

A team consisting of Barley Holloway, Grace Moore, Chloe Moore, and Maddie Nicholls from the school has secured places in final events of Show Jumping and Eventing in May and October this year.

Headteacher Emma Haase said: "CSIA's achievement is truly remarkable.

"Qualifying for The Royal Windsor Horse Show, the NSEA National Championships, and the NSEA Championships at Addington is a testament to the dedication and talent of our students."

Their qualification is a result of outstanding victories, notably in NSEA National Qualifying competitions, where they emerged victorious with a perfect score in the Show Jumping and Eventer Challenges.

This earned them their spots at the esteemed Windsor Horse Show.

Ms Haase added: "The Royal Windsor Horse Show in particular sees only 20 schools from the entire country in attendance and is mostly comprised of private education providers, reflecting an incredible achievement for CSIA!"

Furthermore, the team, extended to include Eleanor Nicholls and Amber Johnson, managed to qualify for the Hickstead Championships and Addington Show Jumping Finals.

Ms Haase added: "This is a momentous achievement for our school.

"Our students have demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, surpassing numerous competitors and earning their place in these highly anticipated championships."

However, as the school prepares for these events, it acknowledges the financial challenges related to participation.

Ms Haase noted: "We recognise the additional costs associated with participation in these competitions and are reaching out to our community for assistance in covering expenses such as travel, accommodation, and equipment."
