Cornwall’s first comic book ‘convention’ returns to Falmouth for a second year, following a successful debut at The Poly last October.

The 22 Panels Comic Art Show 2014 will boast a full programme of events and special guests, working with the Falmouth Art Gallery and illustration community to bring the best in comic art to Cornwall from October 24 to 26.

The convention, in the The Poly’s upstairs Main Gallery, |features a host of exhibitors from independent and self-published creators to well-known professionals, as well as retailers from across the UK. The show is a chance to meet professional comic creators and take a look at original comic art up close. |Self-published and independent artists will be showcasing and selling their work, and traders will be offering a range of new and old comic books and |graphic novels.

Get a sketch of your favourite character, have your portfolio critiqued or just chat with the guests!

Alongside the convention, there will be a screening of The Graphic Novel Man: The Comics of Bryan Talbot documentary with director Q&A, talks and panel discussions with well-known comic artists and writers, workshops for all ages, a tour of Falmouth Art Gallery’s illustration archive and |exhibitions of original comic book art from V For Vendetta and 2000AD.

Guests include fan-favourite Judge Dredd artist Henry Flint, the hugely popular Doctor Who Magazine artist Mike Collins, Storm Dogs and Bulletproof Coffin writer David Hine, and many more!
