An irreverent non-stop party church service is coming to Truro's Old Bakery Studios this spring.
'Oh My God! It’s The Church' (OMGITC) is billed as a full-throttle and off-the-wall sermon like no other. It's a spoof congregation that's received rave reviews and a cult following.
The Genesis tour is billed as original, outrageous and entertaining. The all-singing, all-dancing show of disco delight stars Pastor The Right Reverend Michael Alabama Jackson backed by 'The Missionary Position' band.
The Reverend Jackson said: “If Sexy Jesus is your Saviour, you have gotta love your neighbour. Whether straight or gay, black or white, we all party and praise into the night. A Church for the People both lost and found, a secret Church for the Underground. A Church for the naughty a Church for the lovin'... If you don’t sin, Jesus died for nothin'."
OMGITC was nominated as ‘Live Act of the Year’ two years ago by the AIF Festival Congress.
The event takes place at the Old Bakery Studios in Truro on May 2.
