Porthleven Food Festival has received a literary zone makeover.
‘The Fringe’ Literary Tent underwent a revamp before the opening of the festival in late April.
Situated between two large tipis in The Moors field of the festival, the makeover was organised and created by Claire Rowley of BBC Radio Cornwall and Port Eliot programmer Colin Midson, in collaboration with students from Falmouth University.
Three days of events will be taking place in the Literary Tent over the festival weekend, including family-friendly entertainment, coffee workshops and yoga sessions.
There’s also a chance to meet chefs Bruce Rennie and Jeff Robinson as they talk about their approach to food and a spoken word set from writer/ storytellers Johanna Eager and Mark Crees.
A variety of interview sessions and chats with chefs, authors and comedians will be take place throughout the weekend.
And the fun doesn’t stop there- on weekend evenings, cocktail masterclasses from Tarquin’s and Dead Man’s Fingers will be available for festival-goers to finish their day on a high, or to kickstart their night out.
Here they can learn more about how the drinks are made and become a mixologist with tuition from the experts (over 18s only).
Porthleven Food Festival takes place from Friday the 17th-Sunday 19th April 2020 and is free to attend, with tickets only required for the evening Shipyard Sessions.
Tickets are available at: www.porthlevenfoodfestival.com
