Hundreds of people turned up to what turned out to be an exceptionally festive occasion in Falmouth as the town's Christmas lights were switched on.
On Thursday, November 24, Falmouth switched on its Christmas lights after a number of events took place throughout the evening.
Starting at 5.45pm, the Lantern Parade led by Kernow Pipes and Drums left Events Square and made its way through the town, finishing its journey at The Moor.
After the parade, a rock choir performed a number of festive favorites on stage before several schools from across Falmouth performed Christmas songs and carols for the growing crowd.

The evening was hosted by Neil and Saffy from Pirate FM who introduced the crowd to Dan Lilly who had been nominated to be the person to switch on the Christmas lights.
After explaining to the crowd a little about his fundraising activities for Man Down, Dan switched on the lights, much to the delight of the crowd.
