Comedy Jam at Toast is returning with another laughter-filled event of new acts and new material on Monday.

The event will be headlined by Richard James, a West Country comedian who started out in Cornwall and will be at the Edinburgh Festival in August.

Local comedian, Sophie Sweatman is also confirmed to play at the event, which has Graham Wilkes as the resident MC.

The Comedy Jam event will take place at Toast in Falmouth on Monday, August 1 at 8pm, with free entry.

Cornish comedy audiences are in for another treat the following week when improvisational comedian, Eddie French, will be performing at Laugh and Dine at Mustard and Rye Bar and Grill.

Eddie, who is travelling down from Yorkshire for the gig, has a range of English, European and American accents in his acting repertoire and is part of improvisation comedy troupe, The Discount Comedy Checkout. The comedian has also run the longstanding Comedy Cellar at Verve in Leeds.

Daniel Triscott will also be at the event. Originally from Torpoint, he is now based in Yorkshire and has been climbing the comedy ladder since his first gig in Falmouth in 2012.

Also performing will be Morgan Rees, this year's People's Choice winner in the online comedy e-zine Chortle’s Student Comedy Awards for Bristol.

The host for the evening will be Tom Glover, a rising West Country comedian.

Laugh and Dine at Mustard and Rye will be in Truro on Wednesday, August 10 at 7pm.

Reservations for meals and tickets for the comedy gig can be made by calling Mustard and Rye on 01872 272766, or purchased in person at the venue.
