Shallal Sketchbooks is a project run in partnership with Falmouth Art Gallery which in its first year has reached over 9,000 people of all ages worldwide with 400 participants.

This has been achieved through a series of exhibitions and community workshops which connect people and places as stories are shared and art created. Now, an exhibition showcasing the project's achievements will be held in Falmouth.

Victoria Hodgkinson, project co-ordinator, said: “We are excited to bring the sketchbook collection back to Falmouth Art Gallery, celebrating a year since starting the project. We have been meeting participants through community workshops and touring exhibitions inspiring art for everyone.”

Creative director, Jo Willis, added: “It is wonderful to see the project grow and become so vibrant. I am really looking forward to seeing the most recent sketchbooks at this event.”

The exhibition will start with a private view on Saturday, October 21, from 3pm to 6pm, and then run until November 2. It is a great opportunity to meet participants, the team, view the collection and take part in the project. For more information go to shallalstudios.com/shallal-sketchbooks.html.
