Italian pop star Ryan Paris is performing at St Ives Guildhall at his first appearance in the UK for decades.

The singer reached international fame in 1983 with his hit Dolce Vita which peaked at number 5 in the UK Singles Chart.

Broadcaster Judi Spiers will compere the evening, and a video DJ will continue the 80s theme before and after the performance.

“Ryan is really looking forward to appearing in St Ives and is very keen for the show to have a dance party atmosphere,” said his manager, Christine Read.

Paris' hit single was released 35 years ago this year, and the singer is currently planning a UK and worldwide tour to mark the anniversary of the release that brought him international success.

Some of the money raised from ticket sales will be donated to the charity Prince's Trust, which provides resources to help young people achieve their potential.

Tickets cost £12 each and doors open at 7pm on Friday April 6. To book online, visit https://crbo.ticketsolve.com/shows/873585759 or call 01726 879500 for further details.
