An ABBA tribute show featuring a West End cast is coming to Regal Theatre in Redruth.

ABBA Reunion was inspired by the recent news that ABBA have written and recorded their first new songs in thirty five years.

Vikki Holland-Bowyer was determined to bring fans the next best thing and created the stage show that has sold out theatres, stadiums, and concert halls.

She said: The producers – The Reunion Group – decided they would give the fans the next best thing, and not just another ABBA tribute show.

“Abba Reunion gives ABBA fans the opportunity to get together and re-live the addictive ABBA phenomenon that swept the airwaves and discos during the Seventies and Eighties in a truly feel-good, party-style concert.”

The show is coming to Redruth in the wake of a four month run at The Strand Theatre, and they will be performing authentic hits.

The performers will be backed up by a live band and they will not only sound the part, but will look the part, and audience members will find it hard to remember that they are not watching the genuine Swedish superstars.

“There is a huge focus on the 1977 and 1979 live world tour footage plus the iconic pop videos that feature the famous flamboyant costumes and dance moves,” says Vikki.

“Visually, the performers are transformed into Agnetha, Benny, Bjorn and Anni- Frid (Frida).”

Each character has been studied by means of video clips of both live and studio performances to mimic the movements and mannerisms, enabling a true-to-life presentation.

“Meticulous scrutiny and strict vocal tutoring have been applied to recreate the voices of ABBA,” according to Vikki.

“The company’s sole aim is to leave each audience asking just one question – ‘did we just witness the real ABBA reunion?’.”
