Marine biologist Matt Slater from Cornwall Wildlife Trust will be leading a rockpooling session at Porthleven to discover the incredible creatures living in our rock pools.
The ramble will take you to the alien world of some very surprising creatures that can only be seen on very low tides.
Access is challenging so sensible footwear such as wetsuit boots or old trainers are essential, definitely no flip flops!
Sunscreen is also advisable. That said, it’s best to check the weather forecast as you may find you need to bring an anorak.
This event is part of a national programme of events called #nationalmarineweek.
The week is being run to help highlight Cornwall’s amazing marine life and to encourage people to help protect it.
The ramble is on Sunday August 12 from 11.30am to 1.30pm.
To book places and find out the exact location, call Matt on 01872 302251 or email him at
matt.slater@cornwallwildlifetrust.org.uk.
The event is free but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
