Camel Creek Adventure Park is giving back to the heroes in our communities by offering a new discount on membership to military personnel.

The family attraction is teaming up with the official Ministry of Defence discount scheme, Defence Military Discounts.

This allows those in the armed forces, veterans and the wider armed forces community to enjoy the park at a reduced price, as a thanks for their heroism and bravery.

The discount gives £5 off regular entry prices - a saving of around 30%.

One of the company’s directors Charles Weston-Baker said: “We’re really pleased to add this to our existing discount for those working in the emergency services - we feel it’s especially important to give a little bit back with the 70th birthday of the NHS this year.

“We wanted to do our bit to recognise the hard work and courage of those working in the military forces as well.”

“This will be great for our local Cornish community, which has such strong links with the RAF and the Royal Navy through St Mawgan and Culdrose, but also for our visitors from all over the country.”

The adventure park is hosting an Emergency Services and Charity Day on the August 16 featuring information, activities and a range of local and national charities.

Visitors will get the chance to meet and talk with members of the police, fire and ambulance services.

Charities that are attending include Children’s Hospice South West, Penhaligon’s Friends, Cornwall Wildlife Trust, and the Wave Project .

There will also be the chance for visitors to win a brand new BMW as part of the Cornwall Air Ambulance’s big summer prize draw.

The event will run from 10am-5.30pm.
