Falmouth rock musicians Raine Nasi and Marc Heathen are looking forward to their debuts with explosive new metal band All Gods Fall at the St Ives September Festival.

Bass player player Marc and drummer Marc, previously with Veller Lia, have been recruited by Mickey Ripley, who tasted fame with the highly-acclaimed Red Dogs in the late 1980s.

The band, also featuring St Ives guitarist Nick Clarke, will appear for the first time at the Guildhall on Monday, September 17.

“Looking forward to rocking with the legends that are All Gods Fall,” said Marc Heathen. “Nick’s one of the best guitarists around, it’s great to hear him play.”

Mickey Ripley recruited the Falmouth duo after an impromptu appearance with them.

“I was attending a gig of theirs one night when they invited me up to sing,” said Mickey. “We blasted through Motorhead’s Ace of Spades for an encore and I could tell immediately they were two guys I would really enjoy playing with on a regular basis.

“They’re a powerhouse of a rhythm section with a tremendous understanding of the classic rock/metal roots which are the underlying inspiration of the All Gods Fall sound.

“They have a great sensibility for this type of music, and also an acute awareness of the musical muscle that the drums and bass need to deliver to drive along the kind of material that Nick and myself are writing.

“It’s pretty heavy stuff and they’re very much the twin-engine of All Gods Fall.”
