Swanpool beach is hosting a series of seafood dinners on its cafe decking during the summer.

Diners can enjoy sharing seafood platters in the pop up restaurant during the series of Barefoot Dinners on the beach every Saturday from this weekend until the end of August.

Esther Lochrie from Swanpool Beach said: "We’re very excited about our pop up restaurant, it’s something we’ve wanted to do for a long time. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the weather stays fine, but we are prepared if not – we have ponchos and hot water bottles to keep people warm and parasols to keep the rain off – hopefully people will enter into the spirit of rustic dining and enjoy the experience no matter what the weather!

"We’re fully licensed too so can offer a variety of wine and beer with the seafood, perfect for a summer’s evening celebration.”

The seafood platters at the pop up restaurant will include fresh crab, prawns, scallops, oysters, calamari and more, and diners will be able to enjoy their dinner on the beach as they look out to the sea.
