A two day musical extravaganza comes to Truro's Lemon Quay on Saturday and Sunday with The Truro Blues Festival and Party on the Piazza.

Presented by The Wander Inn, The Truro Blues Festival on Saturday will showcase eight blues acts from across the South West for a day of rip roaring, toe tapping Blues action. With a headline performance from Plymouth's Thomas Ford & the Dies Hard'’ this is an event not to miss.

There will also be a rare local performance from another nu-blues 2-piece Lost Dawn, also on the bill is a plethora of more traditional booze soaked blues rock from Blues Busters, Bare Knuckle Blues Band, Blacktop Deluxe. Lovers of a more soulful traditional blues are also catered for in the form of the exceptional blues vocalist Becca Langsford and Vince Lee (from the legendary Wild Cards) plus solo blues men Russell Sinclair and Viv Robertson.

On Sunday Party on the Piazza comes to the Wander Inn and will host a whole range of top local talent that will culminate in a |performance from Camborne’s hugely popular Ska band Rudi's Message.

Also appearing will be Three Minute Warning, Veller Lia, The Flaming Infidels, Gareth Lee and his band and local pop funk rockers The Boston Plan.

Also on Sunday will be a takeover from the Truro School of Samba - who will also be doing a showcase event at the Wander Inn on Friday from 7pm - and then will run workshops and further showcases on the Sunday morning from 11am to 2pm.

With a Hog Roast and licensed bar providing 20 specialist ales and cider it the perfect time to make a trip to Truro.
