The Princess Pavilion kicks off its Spring programme this week on Thursday, February 1, with 60s legends the Spencer Davis Group, led by the rock star from Wales on his So Far So Good Tour 2007.

They'll be performing all their exciting Top 40 songs including Gimme Some Lovin, Somebody Help Me, I'm A Man, and Keep On Runnin', which helped to bring British rock n roll to the rest of the world.

Still constantly wowing big audiences in the USA, Europe and the UK, the popularity of Spencer's songs lives on and he recently accepted an award from BMI in London for over three million broadcast performances of Gimme Some Lovin'. The show starts 8.30pm and tickets are £15 in advance from the box office on 01326 211222 or £16.50 on the door.

And a reminder that next up on Wednesday, February 7, is another 60s icon when original Monkees star Peter Tork stops off with his band to treat fans to all the hits that made The Monkees worldwide mega-stars. Local faves The Hitchcock Rules provide support, in what promises to be a really good night of great music. Show starts 8.30pm, tickets £12.50 advance and £14 on the door.
