Double MOBO award-winning YolanDa Brown will play at Hall For Cornwall on 23 September.

The premier female saxophonist in the UK will perform songs from her new album Love Politics War, a delicious fusion of reggae and jazz melodies.

YolanDa Brown has toured with The Temptations, Diana Krall, Courtney Pine and Billy Ocean and collaborated with artists such as Mica Paris, and Matt Cardle. She has played to presidents and heads of state and is a celebrity ambassador for the Prince’s Trust, Children and the Arts, as well as the Mayor’s Music Fund.

Aside from the awards - her accumulated public votes at the MOBOs outweighed all the other nominees put together - and tours, YolanDa has hosted her own shows on Sky, BBC Radio 2 and for British Airways’ in-flight entertainment, and she even performed on-board for BA when they launched their direct route from Heathrow to New Orleans. She’s been awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of East London, has taken tea with the Queen and Prince Phillip, is currently writing a series of children’s books, loves to drive fast cars around race tracks in her spare time and can even rattle off a Rubik’s cube in around five minutes.

In 2017, she was named as the celebrity ambassador for the Greater London Assembly and ABRSM Learn Music London campaign.

YolanDa Brown will perform at the Hall for Cornwall on Saturday, 23 September, at 7.30pm.
