FALMOUTH’S only comedy club is hosting a Christmas Party and |everyones invited.

Over the past six months, the Falmouth Comedy Floor has evolved into a night of all-inclusive |improvisation, sketches and |stand-up.

As a result, a variety of the |audience has discovered comedical talents they never knew they had as they joined in with improvisation sketches and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

The club has even proven to be a new creative outlet for SourceFM radio presenters and Penryn Community Theatre actors.

Taking place on December 18, the party features a host of stand-up acts such as Glen Maney (pictured), Glasgow, star of black comedy The Limelight Movie alongside ITV’s Show Me The Funny winner Pat Monahan.

Joining them will be Ricky Groves, who played in nursing comedy Getting On and as Andrew, Heather Trott’s tragic husband in Eastenders. Also appearing will be Letitia De Wicca, the witch who is set to become the first Mother Christmas.

With cheap drinks, eats, friendly staff and fantastic views, the Falmouth Watersports Centre has been an ideal venue for a new |comedy night.

Organiser Sophie Sweatman said: “I wanted to create a stage for new comedians and writing, performing or other creative university students in Cornwall to perform to an |audience of locals.”

Falmouth Comedy Floor can also boast a resident DJ, providing |walk-on music for comedians, intro music for improvisation games and other bits of musical comedy.

Nate Valentino, resident DJ at Mango’s Bar and Club, is a pioneer of mash up mixes working with high-ranking DJs and will be unveiling his Christmas Mash Up live before the comedy on the party night.

An after-show party will take place at Mango’s Bar and Club’s karaoke night 11pm until 2am.
