We Are Brontë is a piece of hilarious visual theatre inspired by the real and imaginary worlds of Yorkshire’s literary siblings, presented in Publick Transport’s irreverent style which will be staged at the Tolmen Centre in Constantine on Friday, December 1.
"We saw this in Exeter earlier this year and were charmed and bewitched by its zany but immensely skillful comedy," said Charlie Pugh, director of the Tolmen Centre. "It puts a smile on your face that lasts the whole length of the show."
Physical theatre collides with stand-up, clowning and improvisation as two performers deconstruct Gothic themes of love, madness, repression and revenge. Part play, part enquiry into the act of putting on a play, this is no ordinary Brontë adaptation.
The show's date in Constantine is being delivered in association with Carn To Cove. Tickets cost £9/£7 or £5 for children. Cafe Tolmen will be open for pre-show suppers - please book separately by phone.
