Panel show regular Tom Allen is bringing his acerbic comedy to Redruth's Regal Theatre on Sunday September 23.

After a sell out run of his show Indeed at the Edinburgh Festival, Tom is going on a UK wide tour of his new show Absolutely.

He has recently made his first appearance on BBC's Live at the Apollo, and has appeared on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Mock the Week, The Great British Bake Off's Extra Slice, Celebrity The Crystal Maze, and the John Bishop Show.

Last year he supported Sarah Millican on her sold out tour of Australia, New Zealand, and the UK; as well as supporting Josh Widdicombe, Romesh Ranganathan, and Michael McIntyre.

He started as a stand up at the age of 22 and went on to win both So You Think You're Funny in Edinburgh and the BBC New Comedy Awards in the same year, and since then he has honed his unique style of sharp, acerbic wit and camp, riotous storytelling by performing to audiences all over the UK and around the world.

His weekly podcast, Like Minded Friends, which he records with friend and compadre Suzi Ruffell, has now reached hundreds of thousands of listeners.

Tom has also performed at Montreal's Just for Laughs as well as Sydney, Adelaide, and Melbourne Comedy Festivals.

He has written articles for The Scotsman, The Independent, The Lady and The Guardian. Attitude Magazine called him a gay role model.

As well as his stand up success, he has proven his dramatic chops by appearing as Pip Bin in Radio 4's Bleak Expectations and has guest starred in Comedy Central's Threesome, BBC's Sensitive Skin with Joanna Lumley and Fear of Fanny with Mark Gatiss and Julia Davis. He has also starred in films including Colour Me Kubrick with John Malkovich, Starter for Ten with James McEvoy, and the Stephen Frears film, Tamara Drewe.

Tickets to the Regal Theatre are £15 for standard tickets, and £22.50 for seats in a luxury box, and can be purchased at redruth.merlincinemas.co.uk.
