Comedian Simon Evans is coming to Redruth's Regal Theatre on November 15 as part of his new tour Genius.

Following a complete sell out and critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Festival, Simon Evans is taking his latest live show on a tour of the UK.

The show will question the meaning of genius and its place in society today

Evans is a familiar face to fans of TV stand up with highly acclaimed appearances on Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Roadshow and the Edinburgh Gala amongst others.

He has also appeared on University Challenge: The Professionals in 2007 in a team that was only narrowly beaten by the Ministry of Justice, who eventually went on to win the whole series.

In another flaunting of his high IQ, he appeared on Celebrity Mastermind where his specialist subject was Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton, in which he won his heat.

A regular guest on Radio 4, Simon has also broadcast four series of his own show Simon Evans Goes to Market, in which he combines his comedic talents and his knowledge of economics.

He makes regular appearances on The News Quiz and anchored and wrote seven series of the news satire The Way It Is. He has been published in a range of magazines and newspapers including The Daily Telegraph in which he talked about Brexit and comedy.

Simon has a long list of television writing credits and has written for everything from The Big Breakfast to 8 Out of 10 Cats.

A review from The Scotsman said: "A masterclass in socio-political comedy…The Show is called Genius. It comes very close."
