I have just discovered that my dad, called Mick Thomas, nicknamed t-bone, moved to Cornwall two months ago. I have spent years trying to trace him. I have even been on tv and radio, local and national, but due to his common name it has been almost impossible to trace him.
My mother and father split up when I was four. My mother died in an accident, but before she died my dad had left a five-page letter explaining his love for us both. He said if I wanted to see him he would welcome me with open arms and explained that my mother would tell me where he was. But sadly, I don't think he knows she died and was unable to give the letter to me. So, to this day, he probably thinks I didn't want to see him, which is not true.
I was taken into care after her death. My foster mother traced my aunt and she gave me the letter when I was 15 years old. I have looked on and off for him since then. I am 34 years old now.
My dad is 60, is a mechanic, used to live in Tettenhall then Walsall Woods, near Wolverhampton, and is a keen biker. My name is Emma Allsop and I was born Emma Jane Goldsborough.
