I would like to show my support for 'The Big Field Wind Farm' being proposed by Good Energy at Holsworthy.
Cornwall should be proud that it leads the way in the renewable energy and it’s great to see the first wave generator being tested at Wave Hub. Cornwall has a long history in renewables.
It provides many jobs in construction and research and is an industry in which young people in Cornwall can have a realistic career and not have to move away.
The Renewable Energy Engineering department at Tremough campus in Penryn is producing some excellent renewable energy engineers, but they will not be able to stay in Cornwall and contribute to the enhancing the local economy if there are no jobs for them.
David Cameron is currently making attempts to frack underneath our homes, we must ask ourselves, what would we rather have? Potentially extremely harmful fracking, or proven safe and efficient wind turbines?
