By the look of it planning inspectors are nippy about their work, judging by the speed with which an appeal for a new student block in Falmouth was allowed.

Your pal the Skipper asks if Ocean Bowl wasn’t something of a done deal, considering the time the original applications - plural - took to be processed, and the amount of information involved.

Evidently these challenges were no obstacle for our emissary from Bristol, who took less than a week and the swish of a pen to sign off on an irreversible decision which will affect the lives of Falmothians for years to come.

By my reckoning, this decision disrespects all those who turned out to the local planning meeting, and were blatantly ignored.
