A Newquay man has appeared at court charged with firearms offences.
Terence Thomas Fitt, aged 74 from Tower Road, Newquay was arrested following an operation at his home on November 16.
Police were investigating the theft of petrol from a filling station in Truro when the found the Rossi Revolver.
He was taken to Newquay Police station before being charged with the original theft of petrol, possession of the handgun, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and possession of a firearm without a certificate.
