Up to 50 jobs will be created in Truro as £500,000 is invested in the new Home Bargains store in the city.
The retailer is set to open its first Cornish store on the Threemilestone Retail Park in the former JJB store, next to what was Comet, on June 29.
Joe Morris, operations director at Home Bargains, said: “We’re excited to be opening our first Cornish store in Truro and look forward to welcoming customers through the doors.”
The 16,000 sq ft store will stock a selection of homewares, alongside health and beauty and household products, sweets and snacks, home style and drinks.
Joe added: “Threemilestone Retail Park will be a great location for our customers – we’re thrilled to be in a position to offer local people top branded goods at exceptionally low prices.”
