The road surface at Illogan Highway was damaged this afternoon after a van fire.
Firefighters were called out at 4.12pm this afternoon after a report of a van on fire.
CFRS mobilised one appliance from Camborne, with fire-fighters wearing breathing apparatus using two hose reels to extinguish the fire.
A spokesman said that Cornwall highways were informed of the incident as "some fire damage to the road surface was caused".
