The ship that supplys the Isles of Scilly grounded on rocks off the islands on Monday evening, while on its way to St Mary's.
The Gry Maritha hit Crow Rock at 6.15pm, with the RNLI called. No-one was hurt and an initial inspection by the St Mary's harbour master showed no visible damage.
The ship proceeded to berth at St Mary’s Quay.
An investigation has been launched and divers will make a further inspection.
The ship's master was breathalysed by police but the test was negative.
The vessel transports freight and fuel to the islands.
