Firefighters were called to Lower West Street in Penryn on Sunday after a passerby saw embers coming from the top of a chimney.
A crew from Falmouth Fire Station were called just before 9pm, and used hearth kit, a 135m ladder and a hose reel to put out the fire and a thermal image camera to check other properties.
They also carried out a home fire safety check and confirmed the fire was accidental.
