Helston has celebrated the summer solstice in style, with a grand street partty.
Meneage Street was closed to traffic so that a street party and other entertainment could take place.
During the day there was an estimated footfall of 500 people per |hour who came to join in the celebrations, see the classic car display of 30 cars and enjoy the face painting, plus music from street buskers.
At lunch time people were invited to bring their own food and join in with the giant picnic, sitting on tables and chairs set up in the street, which attracted around 120 people.
Organiser Mark Upton said: “There was a very good atmosphere, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day.”
