The new school year has seen a new head teacher at Constantine School as well as a new eco-building which has become the long-awaited new home for the year six pupils.
Helen Bancroft, deputy head at St Mary’s School in Falmouth for the past seven years, has taken over as head at Constantine from Liz Brand who retired this summer.
She said: “I am absolutely thrilled to get the job here. I felt it was time to take on a head ship and this opportunity came up. We have got a brilliant set of staff and children here and everyone has been very warm, welcoming and supportive.
“I am looking forward to being part of such a fantastic team.”
Along with the new head, the new term also brought with it the school’s brand new eco-classroom which has enabled the school to expand.
“We have always been a six class school and now we are a seven,” said Mrs Bancroft. “It is a brilliant new building.”
