Morning worship was led by the Rev Philip Williams, who preached a challenging sermon from Paul’s letter to the Philippians, Chapter 3 v 10 “That I may know Christ and the power of His resurrection…”
Members of the congregation were urged to try to share Paul’s dedication and “know Christ” for themselves. David Philp was the organist.
At evening worship the Rev Steve Swann led a programme of Bible readings, meditations and prayers interspersed with suitable hymns, concluding with the famous passage from the Book of the Revelation “I saw a new heaven and a new earth”. Organist was David Pountain.
On Saturday the church will be hosting a service to celebrate 140 years of the Leprosy Mission. The speaker will be David Beezley and the service will be followed by a cream tea. All are welcome.
