Volunteers from Falmouth RNLI were called out in the early hours of Sunday morning to rescue two people in a broken down speedboat just south of Pendennis Point.
The inshore lifeboat was launched just after 1.30am after Falmouth Coastguard reported that the 17 foot speedboat Big Blue had suffered engine problems while out on a night fishing expedition in Falmouth Bay, 2 miles out from the point.
The lifeboat arrived on scene at around 1.50am, and a tow line was passed to the boat before it was towed back to Flushing, where it was safely secured to its mooring just after 3am.
The volunteer lifeboat crew was: Claire Angove (helmsman), Tom Bird, Josh Blakeston
