BALWEST METHODIST CHURCH: On Sunday morning the congregation enjoyed a musical service based on stories and characters from the Old Testament going from when god made the Garden of Creation to the prophecy of Micah, pointing towards the New Testament.
Several members took part, including Oliver on the drums accompanying Joshua fight the battle of Jericho. Dennis read a poem based on Proverbs. Jeremy, Joel and Molly read passages from the Bible. Jill was the accompanist and also gave an explanation of Hallowe’en. Flowers were given and arranged by Margo Sawle.
On Sunday, Remembrance Sunday, the service will start at 11am at the Germoe Parish Memorial on Tregonning Hill.
ASHTON CHURCH: There will be a service of morning prayer on Friday at 9.15am followed by a service of holy communion at 10am.
