The preacher for morning worship on Remembrance Sunday was Pastor Bill Reed. The traditional two minute silence was observed at 11am. David Philp was the organist.
In the afternoon the church hosted the annual Remembrance Day Parade for a service led by the minister, the Rev Beverly Turner. The preacher was the vicar of Porthleven, the Rev Peter Johnson. David Philp was again organist. There was a very large attendance including representatives of RNAS Culdrose, the Police Cadets and various other local organisations.
After the service the procession, led by the Porthleven Town Band, walked to the War Memorial on Peverell Terrace for the laying of wreaths.
On Tuesday morning there was another two-minute silence at the Memorial, where prayers were led by Elsie Balme.
